#RUNJXN - Day 11


The day of dead ends! So many long dead end streets in my route today. But that didn’t mean that I didn’t still get to see some fascinating things!

A tiny little cemetery at the end of one was completely unexpected. I found some very old markers and discovered that most graves bore the Star of David or Hebrew inscriptions. Another wound down and around with a “behind the scenes” view of the magnificent Withington Stadium.

I took a moment to visit Austin Blair Park and learn about his ties to Jackson.
I finally ran all of Detroit Street. Despite my best efforts, I kept missing tiny little segments here and there.
I barely missed the hailstorm.

It was a good day in my quest to run #everysinglestreet in #jacksonmi

#RUNJXN  - Day 4 more of Ward 1. Don’t go to the last picture if you’re easily grossed out 😬. Today was a tough one for a lot of reasons. #RUNJXN - Day 2

#RUNJXN  Day 2  #everysinglestreet Covered almost all of Ward 3-3. Turns out that the house I grew up in was in this ward! So that’s one of my pictures for the day. The other is Kiwanis Park, where we often went to play. It looks strange with yellow caution tape surrounding all of the structures.
